New York Gong (Bill Laswell (bass), Cliff Cultreri (guitar), Michael Beinhorn (synth), Stu Martin then Bill Bacon (drums), Don Davis (sax & flute) and Mark Kramer (keys/trombone)), Mother Gong (Gilli Smyth & Harry Williamson) and possibly Yochk'o Seffer (Magma, Zao, Neffesh Music) played a midnight show at Shriver Hall at Johns Hopkins University on April 23 or 24. The show was organised by Giogio Gomelsky. It took me years to figure this out.
Butthole Surfers July 4, 1979. Flyer says Slickee Boys, Marmaduke, New Riders of the Purple Sage and more. I don't think this was the Butthole Surfers Year.
